Kumon Maidstone South Study Centre

The Maidstone South Kumon Centre is delighted to be based at the Maidstone YMCA. Our drop-in classes run from 4-6pm on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Kumon maths and English study programmes enable students of all ages and abilities to achieve. Our aim is for each and every child to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study.

Following a free assessment your child will begin on the programmes at an individually set starting point, laying a solid foundation for effective learning. Their progress through the programmes will be tailored to their individual needs, ensuring your child continues to grow and achieve.

At the Maidstone South centre, the Centre Instructor and assistants will personally monitor and support your child through every stage of their Kumon journey.  We welcome students of all ages and abilities to our centre, including early learners from local pre schools. Our youngest student is just three years old and we can accept children from ages 2-18. Whether your child is a high achieving student or struggling in their studies, our personalised approach will provide the support they need to reach their educational goals.

The atmosphere at the centre is calm, friendly and relaxed.  Our aim is for each student to enjoy coming to the centre and to find it a rewarding and positive experience.  Whether enrolled in our Maths or English programmes, or both, students have the opportunity to read from a selected of books from Kumon’s Recommended Reading List in our ever-popular Book Corner once they have completed their work.

Progress is celebrated and our students are rewarded with stickers when they visit the centre, as well as certificates and prizes when they reach key milestones in the programme.  We also hold regular events throughout the year for our students, such as a ‘mathathon’, storytelling and themed events celebrating, for example, World Book Day and Roald Dahl Day.

We look forward to welcoming you to the centre.
