Centre Manager
£30k-£34k

YMCA Maidstone are currently building a £4m "state of the art "Leisure Centre in the heart of Maidstone. Due to open in December 2010, the
centre will house a 90 station fitness suite, exercise studios, sports hall, café bar, childrens/youth services and
all weather pitch.
The YMCA has a strong commitment towards sport and physical activity, recognising the value and benefits of providing
good participation opportunities to all people in the community.
Initially you will be responsible for the pre-launch sales campaign
and challenged with meeting targets in line
with the centre’s business plan. You will also be responsible for the recruitment of the centre’s workforce, comprising
full and part time employees, casual labour and independent contractors. You will be integral to all pre-launch operational
plans.
Post
launch you will be responsible for the strategic
day-to-day management of the centre. This will include the management of all departments with overall responsibility for financial
performance and sustained profitability.
We expect you to have a proven track record of developing and improving financial performance and
service delivery in a large multi-faceted
operation. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of management experience in
a similar role within the leisure industry.
